Tried out for the 1st time last night. Placed an online pick up order and food was hot and ready when I arrived. Had 3 large pizzas and stromboli. All were excellent. Will definitely order from La Pizzeria again.
The Giaimo family arrived in this country from Sicily, the Mediterranean island just off the “toe” of Italy’s boot, in 1988. They entered American with the hopes of creating a successful business, but moreover, meaningful friendships. Pietra & Giovanni took ownership of their first restaurant, Pizza King in 1990 & honed their skills as Italian restauranteurs. They crafted pizza dough embracing their family traditions but made it their own & perfected it over time. Giovanni (known locally as Johnny), conjured up a savory spice combination for the marinara that blesses many of their pizza & pasta dishes today. All the while, having a particular gift for connecting with people, Giovanni stayed true to the mantra that customers become friends & friends become family. Eight years later opportunity presented itself again & the couple opened La Pizzeria in High Point, North Carolina. Taking what they knew worked well for them, they started anew, creating more food & more friendships. Today, working alongside Pietra & Giovanni are their two daughters, Maria & Giovanna, having grown up in the restaurant business. Pietra proudly acknowledges that Giovanni is more than a good man, he is a great father & grandfather. May of life’s lessons can be pondered over pasta & pizza! Together, the Giaimo family wishes to invite you to share in what they’ve come to value here in America- close family, devoted friends & exceptional food. -Pietra & Johnny Giaimo
